C.D. Leganés begin an intense week of Copa del Rey football

Following yesterday's victory over U.D. Las Palmas, the team turns their attention to the next week and their training schedule to prepare for their first Copa de S.M. El Rey game of the season against Xerez Deportivo C.F. (Thursday, 20:45 CET) as well as the next league encounter against Girona F.C. (Monday, 21:00 CET).

C.D. Leganés ‘B’ split points in Butarque fixture against Unión Adarve (1-1)

The Pepinero reserve side held league leaders Unión Adarve to a draw (1-1) in their 13th Segunda RFEF game in Group 1. Cissé was the first to score in the 69' after a deadly shot from outside the area though Montejo was quick to recover and level the score in the 74'.

Mehdi Nafti: "We gave a mature and comprehensive performance; I get that the fans will puff their chests out a bit with this news, but we won't"

C.D. Leganés manager, Mehdi Nafti, spoke to the press after the Pepineros' home win this Sunday against U.D. Las Palmas that ended at 4-1. "Well done to my boys who gave a mature and comprehensive performance, coping with the pressure when it came and developing our game. We're in a great rhythm, we could improve but you can't ask for more than this. I understand the fans puffing their chests a bit with this news, but we won't do that. I'm not concerned by the table; all I want is a cohesive team that grows from week to week".
