As if it was today… three years ago Leganés received Real Madrid’s visit for a league match for the first time in 88 years of history. The pepineros had never faced Real Madrid for a league match. Despite losing 2-4 against the blancos, the team put everything on the pitch.

It was the 30th match day of Leganés’ first season at first division. The team was 5 points away from relegation spots and Real Madrid was also 5 points away but from the league’s second position. Samu García, Bueno and Machís played on second half.

Leganés didn’t surrender and managed to scored 2 goals before half time, Gabriel and Luciano scored for the pepineros. A couple of minutes after the second half started an own goal by Mantovani set the final result of the match (2-4).
