The teams had previously met for the historic Copa del Rey semifinals. This time it would be the day for Leganés to win against Sevilla. Asier Garitano’s initial squad was: Cuéllar, Zaldua, Bustinza, Siovas, Diego Rico, Rubén Pérez, Gabriel, El Zhar, Eraso, Omar Ramos, and Amrabat. Beauvue and Gumbau would also have some minutes at the end of the match.
