Garitano expressed his decision to leave the club. He arriving at Leganés in the summer of 2013. In his first season, he achieved promotion to Liga Adelante, in the second season he accomplished a comfortable safety with a 10th place, and in the third he led the team to their historic promotion to the First Division. In end season, he has managed to obtain a consecutive salvation and to play the semi-final of Copa del Rey.
After five years of success, commitment and honesty, he bequeathes a legacy that represent him firmly united with the spirit of fans, club and the city that named him an adoptive son. He leaves good memories for us all.
The Basque coach will farewell on Wednesday at 12:00 h. in the press room of Butarque. And he will say goodbye to the fans on Saturday, May 19 at 18:30 h. in the last game of La Liga against Real Betis Balompié.
