Asier Garitano: "It is always a reason for joy to go to Anduva, but now it is another fundamental match to try to achieve the objective".

C.D. Leganés' coach, Asier Garitano, held a press conference on Tuesday ahead of the match that the pepineros will play this Wednesday (21:30) at Anduva against C.D. Mirandés, corresponding to the penultimate matchday of LaLiga SmartBank.

The coach confirmed the absence of the injured Bustinza, Omeruo, Ignasi Miquel, Lasure, José Arnaiz and Borja Bastón, and assessed Leganés' return to Anduva almost five years later: "It's always a joy to go there, but now it's another fundamental match to try to achieve our objective. I expect a very complicated match, after Sunday we have another match in less than three days, with a trip and against a rival that plays really good soccer".
Questioned precisely about the absences, Asier stated that "the absentees are what they are, we have to adapt and get the best performance out of the players we have. I hope we continue with the same trajectory of the last month and a half, we are balanced and now we face a complicated week of three matches. When you get good results, you are in better spirits and you seem to get less tired. Let's hope that helps us to continue with our options to reach the play-offs. We will have to suffer as always, until the last game".

"The goal is to play in the play-offs, and if we can finish as high as possible, all the better".

Regarding the objectives for the last three rounds, the player from Bergara assured that "the objective is to play in the play-offs, that's the objective. And if we can finish as high as possible, so much the better. We are seeing that in the last matchday the teams won their games, like Girona, they have a very good trajectory. Last year they were on the verge and this year they have given a lot of importance to get back on track and have options".
Regarding possible changes in the eleven, Asier stressed that "everyone has options. If people show on a day-to-day basis that they can be competitive, they will have options to play, and that will be the case until the end of the season". Finally, regarding Miguel de la Fuente, scorer of three goals in the last two games, he wishes "that he continues to grow. He knows where he has to improve and we have to strengthen his virtues so that he continues to give us performance".
