Back to La Romareda, where Leganés won their biggest away win

This Monday C.D. Leganés return to La Romareda (21:00 CET), a stadium where only a few months before the team secured the biggest result in their history in professional football. It was on the final matchday of the last season that the Pepineros overcame Real Zaragoza 0-5 to secure a 3rd place finish at the league's conclusion.

It was the 30th May, with Asier Garitano managing a side desperate to take all three points for their 3rd place ambitions and play-off aspirations. In 50 minutes, the Blanquiazules converted on five opportunities, thanks to Kevin Bua, Juan Muñoz (2), Rubén Pardo and Miguel de la Fuente, who delivered Leganés' greatest win in the club's Primera and Segunda División history.

It was the first Pepinero win on Maño terrain, having only managed to draw (2-2) once in 2002/03, with Miguel Ángel netting a brace. The other two previous games had ended in defeat in 2014/15 (2-0) and 2015/16 (1-0).
