C.D. Leganés, after a fourth consecutive win in the Montilivi

C.D. Leganés travel to play Girona F.C. in their 19th match of the campaign at the Estadio de Montilivi this Monday at 21:00 (CET). The Pepineros hope to make it a fourth consecutive win across all competitions, but they face a Girona team also keenly eyeing the play-off spots.

Leganés approach the game with a lot of recent success since the arrival of Mehdi Nafti to the Butarque sidelines. With the Franco-Tunisian coach in charge, the Blanquiazules remain undefeated, having fought out two draws and four wins, the most recent being Thursday's Copa del Rey clash in Jerez (1-2).

After two consecutive LaLiga victories (three in all competitions), Leganés eyes up the next three points awaiting them at the Montilivi in a bid to repeat last year's good fortune. Nafti will be missing Fede Vico, Bárcenas and Bautista due to injury. Iván Villar is available having recovered from his fitness trouble and will travel with the team to Catalonia, along with second team players Cissé and Diego García.

Girona, shaking off defeat with a home win

Girona F.C. will certainly be aware of the modest three points gap that separates them from Leganês, but will want to emphasise their five wins in eight games as a base for them to climb towards the play-off positions. Fresh victory over the Madrileños would inch them closer to redemption after their promotion dreams were dashed in the play-off final last year against Rayo Vallecano.

Manager Míchel will welcome back centre back Juanpe, after his suspension kept him out of their Eibar encounter, and Valery to the camp, while Juncà and Ibrahima Kebe are both unavailable due to suspension. The injured list also includes Ramón Terrats, Borja García, Darío Sarmiento, Ureña and Pablo Moreno.

The fixture will be officiated by the Navarran referee, Sr. D. Eduardo Prieto Iglesias.
