C.D. Leganés and Iván Cuéllar part ways

C.D. Leganés and goalkeeper Iván Cuéllar will not continue together. The 37-year-old goalkeeper from Extremadura will not continue next season at the Pepinero club, thus putting an end to a relationship that has spanned the last four campaigns.

Cuéllar arrived at Butarque in the summer of 2017 from Real Sporting, becoming Leganés' regular starting goalkeeper for the coaches who have passed through the club since: Asier Garitano, in two stages, Mauricio Pellegrino, Javier Aguirre and José Luis Martí.

Fourth goalkeeper with the most games in the club's history

The goalkeeper from Mérida has played a total of 126 official matches with the Blue and Whites' shirt, making him the fourth goalkeeper in the club's history with the most games after Javier Aguilera, Raúl Arribas and Raúl Moreno, and the goalkeeper who played the most times with Leganés in the First Division.
The club would like to thank him for his professionalism during his time as a player, and wishes him the best of luck in the future.
