C.D Leganes and Javier Aguirre will not continue to be together after the end of the 2019/20 season. The Club wants to thank the Mexican manager for his job on the last months in which he managed to put the team just one goal away from the survival.
Aguirre arrived on November 2019 when he took charge of the team from the thirteenth matchday of LaLiga. Seven wins, ten draws and nine losses on a total of twenty-six games played is his balance as the pepinero’s head coach. He also summed three wins and one loss in Copa del Rey games, the last one against F.C Barcelona.
The Club thanks Javier Aguirre for his professionalism and kindness on these months in which he took care of the bench on a difficult situation and managed to keep it alive until the season’s last play and getting just one goal away from the survival. The Club also wishes him the best both personally and professionally on his next stage.
