C.D. Leganés conquered the XL Villa de Leganés Trophy against Albacete Balompié, closing the preseason with good impressions and a victory by three goals to one.

The first half began with equality on the field. Lega tried little by little to dominate the possession and therefore the control of the match, while creating chances to the area. Especially through the bands, with Kravets and Rosales crosses, as well as with Óscar Rodríguez’s shots from the front of the area.

The clearest chances for Lega in the first half were by Braithwaite in 41', with a forced head shot that went away, after a great cross by Rosales; and by Oscar in 44', with a shot that almost surprised Tomeu Nadal.

During the second half, Lega came more focused by breaking the tie in the 54th minute, with a great definition to the first post by Braithwaite, preceded by a great through pass by Óscar Rodríguez enabling the cucumber forward.

With this first goal, the game was more open for Lega, having several occasions to extend the lead on the scoreboard, highlighting a free kick by Oscar Rodriguez cleared by Tomeu Nadal with some difficulty. With the entrance of Javier Avilés, Lega gained depth through the right side and in his first action of the match, he assisted Sabin Merino to put the 2-0 on the Butarque’s scoreboard with a great header in the 69th minute.

After the second goal, Lega continued to dominate the match and creating clear chances, extending the distance in the 75th minute, with a great collective play between Óscar Rodríguez, Javier Avilés and José Arnaiz, the last being the protagonist of the goal.

When the match was almost over, Albacate Balompié shortened the distance with a goal by Alfon after an individual play.

Lega closes the cucumber preseason and will start preparing on Monday for the first league match against C.A. Osasuna, next Saturday, August 17th at 9:00 p.m. in the Butarque Stadium.
