C.D Leganés’ player Aitor Ruibal managed to reach the final of LaLigaSantanderChallenge charity tournament las Sunday. The FIFA20 game online event was created by Ibai Llanos and most of LaLiga’s teams were part of it.
Each LaLiga’s teams were represented by one of their players, Aitor Ruibal was C.D Leganés’ player in charge of leading the white and blue colors. The pepineros’ forward managed to win on first round against Pedro Porro from Real Valladolid (5-3). On round of 16 Ruibal faced Ruben García from Osasuna and won the match (2-0). On round of 8 the pepinero managed to win against Gorka Guruzeta from Athletic Club (7-3). Semifinals match was against Rubén Pérez from Deportivo Alavés (3-2). The only game that Aitor lost was against Marco Asensio from Real Madrid on the final match (2-4).
The tournament was played from Friday March 20th to Sunday March 22nd and was streamed online with several followers and donations that totaled mor than 180.000 euros which will be used to fight COVID-19.
