C.D Leganés is saddened to announce the death of Leganés AMÁS 'B' indoor football player Sergio Gallardo. He was 40 years old and died because of the effects of COVID-19.
Sergio was part of one of the indoor football teams that the Club and Grupo AMÁS launched on 2016 to promote the practice of sports among people with intellectual disabilities. Both indoor football teams participate on the tournaments organized by the Madrid’s Federation for people with intellectual disabilities.
The club also wishes to send its deepest condolences to Leganés Genuine player Mercedes Jimenez´s for her mother’s death on the recent days.
The condolences are also extensive to all the AMÁS and Genuine players that may have lost family or fiends during these difficult days.
