C.D. Leganés receives C.D. Castellón for the second time in its history.

C.D. Leganés will receive this Saturday for the second time in its history the visit of C.D. Castellón. Pepineros and orelluts will face each other twenty-seven years after the first and only match played between them on Madrid soil, a match that ended with a draw (1-1).

The Castellón team's only visit to Leganés was in November 1993, in the Blue and Whites' first season in the silver category. Luis Ángel Duque lined up: Mario; Juanma, Mesas, Barba, Nano; Chuso, Andrés, Vivar Dorado, Javier Alonso; Barcia and Antonio. In the final stretch, Pazolo and Peces came on, and goalkeeper Mario Soria was to be the main protagonist by scoring the equalizer in stoppage time.
Leganés and Castellón have met on two other occasions, both on Levante soil. In the same season, the Pepineros won 2-0 at Castalia thanks to goals from Luis Ricardo and Antonio. In the current season, the Albinegros won 2-0 in the first round match held on October 4.
