C.D Leganés seeks to win again as visitors against C.D Lugo

C.D Leganés will visit C.D Lugo for the tenth time in history this Sunday (12:00h). The pepineros will try to win again as they did on their last match at Anxo Carro in the 2015/16 season before getting promoted to First Division.

The first Clash between both teams was in 1986 for Segunda División 'B' qualifiers. Leganés lost that day (3-2) with goals scored by Ángel Miguel Merino and Julián Merino. Lugo and Leganés played again at the same category again by the end of the 90’s ang the lucenses managed to win again.

Segunda, Segunda 'B' and Tercera División games

Gallegos and Pepineros played again between 2007 and 2012 in Segunda 'B': a draw (1-1) in the 2006/07 season with a goal scored by Aníbal Ramírez. No points were reached by the white and blues in 2008 and 2011. A key draw was achieved in the 2011/12 season to reach the survival after a goal by Rubén Navarro.

Both teams played again after C.D Leganés was promoted to Second Division. A no-goal draw was the result in the 2014/15 while the pepineros managed to get their first win as Lugo’s visitors in the 2015/16: Borja Lázaro scored the first goal, the locals tied the match before half-time and Gabriel scored the definitive second goal for the pepineros in the second half.

The final balance between both teams playing at Lugo´s pitch is one win for C.D Leganés, three draws and five wins for C.D Lugo.
