C.D. Leganés Senior Femenino beat A.D. Torrejón (1-4) to go into first place

The second away win of the season for C.D. Leganés Senior Femenino came in the form of a powerful 4-1 victory over A.D. Torrejón and was the one to push the blanquiazules into first after 3 rounds of league football. A winning weekend for the club, as Juvenil, Cadete, Infantil ‘A’ and Infantil ‘B’ also notched three points apiece.

Home advantage seems to matter little for any of Senior's opponents, as they go two for two away from the Anexo. Following their draw at home last time out against C.D. Magerit, they produced a much more convincing scoreline against A.D. Torrejón on the road.

The game began at a high intensity with three goals in the first 25 minutes. Adri's free kick sent the pepineras ahead in the 7', but only ten minutes went by before A.D. Torrejón levelled the game. Senior kept battling and only 5 minutes later in the 23' did Adri return centrestage to make it 2-1 until the break.

Soon after the second half got underway, Lauri doubled the lead and then, with only ten minutes to go, Truji sealed the game with the fifth goal of the afternoon. The victory was the second playing away from the Anexo Jesús Polo, but they return to the Butarque next time out to play in the II Trofeo Villa de Leganés on Thursday.

Victories for all the fememino teams

Certainly a successful weekend for women's football, alongside the Senior win were league victories for Juvenil, Cadete and Infantil 'A' while Infantil 'B' also overcame their opponents in a friendly match.

For Juvenil, the three points were their first on the board after three weeks of league football and are a testament to the team's hard work. Jorge Ridao's squad won 2-0 over Móstoles URJC thanks to a brace by Ana.

Cadete and Infantil ‘A’ both started their league campaigns on the road, but came away with emphatic results. Adrián Nieto's Cadete was also helped along to a 0-3 victory over Torrelodones C.F. through a brace from Yanira and a goal from Alicia. Infantil ‘A’, under Adrián Huerta, also got their 2021/22 season started on the right foot with a devastating 1-5 score over E.F. Villa de Madrid with goals from across the squad: Aitana, Laura (2), Sara and Inés were the scorers.

Lastly, the Infantil ‘B’ team coached by Óscar Durán continued their series of friendly matches to prepare for the commencement of league football. The team looked in good stead to begin competitive football as they beat Nuevo Baztán 3-6, with goals from María (4), Isabel and Irene.
