C.D. Leganes visits Nigeria as part of its strategic brand expansion plan

C.D. Leganés visited Nigeria last week with members of its international department as part of its strategic brand expansion plan. For five days, the club visited the Mees Palace Football Academy in the city of Jos and shared the club's methodology and training sessions.

The visit took place in the city of Jos, 270 kilometres northeast of Abuja, the capital of the country, in the sports facilities of Mees Palace Football Academy, an academy with which the club already collaborated last December with the Fundación by sending kits to play a local tournament in the colours of Leganés. As a result of this collaboration, the Academy wanted to invite the club to get a first-hand look at its facilities and working model.

Coach training, talent detection and visits to local institutions

During the visit, the club shared its methodology, training courses for coaches, talent spotting sessions and visits to other local associations and institutions in order to promote the brand and explore new opportunities for expansion and collaboration in Nigeria. The club is grateful to LaLiga for the coordination of the trip, the communication between the club and Mees Palace in the meetings prior to the visit, as well as the treatment and attention during the entire stay.

This visit is part of the LaLiga Impulso agreement for the development of sports clubs, and took place between 22 and 27 May.
