C.D. Leganés wants to remain undefeated against Atlético de Madrid in Butarque

CD. Leganés will receive on Sunday (7:00p.m.), for the fouth time in First Division, Atlético de Madrid in Butarque Stadium. So far, three has been three colchonero's visits to the cucumbers in the elite and all ended with the same result; a tie.

The first confrontation between Leganés and Atlético in Primera División took place on August 27th, 2016, in the first match ever for the cucumber history at home in LaLiga Santander. The final result was a goalless tie (0-0), in a where the then blue and white goalkeeper Jon Ander Serantes played a leading role.

The following season, both teams faced in Butarque on September 30th, 2017, again with a final goalless draw and where, in this case, the rojiblanco goalkeeper Jan Oblak was the one who had to intervene more times.

The last clash between the two Madrid's team last season, on November 3th, 2018, again with a tie. Griezmann gave the lead to Atlético in the second half thanks to a free kick goal, while Carrillo tied the encounter for Leganés by taking advantage of a rebound after a shot by Rodri Tarín to the crossbar.

On Sunday, Leganés and Atlético will face each other again in Butarque and Mauricio Pellegrino's squad will try to break the draw streak against Diego Pablo Simeone.
