C.D. Leganés will fight for a place in the Copa del Rey's 4th round.

CD. Leganés looking for getting into Copa del Rey's 4th round. A round that could be accessed, in case of qualifying beating the Aragonese team, for the third consecutive season and for the fourth time in its 91 year history.

So far, Leganés has only been present in the round of 16 of the cupper tournament three times throughout its history. The first one was in the 2000/01 season, when the pickers, then in the Second Division, eliminated Racing de Ferrol and Numancia to fall against Celta despite imposing themselves in the second leg in Balaidos (0-1).

We would have to wait until the 2017/18 season for the Leganés to see each other again in that round, in his best historical participation in the Copa del Rey. Those of Asier Garitano eliminated Valladolid in the round of 16, Villarreal in the round of 16 and Real Madrid in the quarterfinals, winning the Santiago Bernabéu in the second leg, falling only in the semifinals against Sevilla.

Lastly, last season the team led by Mauricio Pellegrino surpassed Rayo Vallecano in the round of 16 to enter for the third time in the round of 16, where he would fall against Real Madrid despite imposing himself on the whites in the return meeting held in Butarque

Now, Javier Aguirre's team  against C.D. Ebro will fight for a place in the next round, after imposing at home in the first two rounds to Andorra and Real Murcia, get for the fourth time in history in Copa del Rey's 4th round.
