C.D Leganés will visit El Sadar for the tenth time with the purpose of reaching their third win there

C.D Leganés will visit Atlético Osasuna at El Sadar this Saturday (19:30h). The pepineros have played ten matches at this stadium and have won twice there, both for second division matches.

The first time Leganés played against Osasuna at Pamplona was on the 1994/95 season (the team’s second season on the silver category), that time the pepineros were beat 3-0 by the locals. However, the white and blues managed to win by the minimum difference (0-1) on their next official match there with a goal scored by Angelín.

Rojillos and White and Blues continued facing each other on second division during the next four seasons between 1996 and 2000. The balance those years was one draw, two wins for the navarros and one for Lega in the 1999/00 by 1-2 with goals scored by Pachón and Barbarín.

Osasuna has won the last three matches by the minimum difference

Recently, thanks to Leganés’ return to professional football, Osasuna has received the pepineros two times for second division matches and once for first division. In the 2014/15 season in which Leganés returned to second division, the navarros won after a coming back from the goal scored by Borja Lázaro (2-1). The same result occurred with the same scorer for the pepineros on the next season (2015/16).

The only time both teams have played at El Sadar for a first division match was on the 2016/17 season in which Leganés started winning with a Siovas’ goal but the navarros managed again to comeback through two goals by Sergio León.

This Saturday will be the pepineros’ tenth visit to El Sadar with a global balance of two wins, one draw and six losses.
