Javier Aguirre: “We will keep trying for sure, we will fight till the end with all our forces”

The manager confirmed that Roque Mesa, Óscar and Carrillo will not be part of the squad list for the next match against R.C.D Espanyol and Alexander Szymanowski’s call.

C.D Leganés’ manager Javier Aguirre attended the media this friday in the pre-match press conference held at I.D Butarque before the 34th matchday of LaLiga that will be played this Sunday (17:00h) against R.C.D Espanyol at RCDE Stadium. The manager confirmed that Roque Mesa, Óscar and Carrillo will not be part of the squad list for the next match against R.C.D Espanyol and Alexander Szymanowski’s call.

The Mexican thinks that the team needs a win to recover the good mood: “We were fine in five of the six matches we have played but unfortunately could not win. The players need a mood injection because they can get frustrated when the results don´t arrive because of little details”.

The manager confirmed that Óscar and Carrillo will be out of the squad list because of injuries and Roque Mesa also because he reached 5 yellow cards. “The good news is that we have recovered Szymanowski. He is training well and is in a Good mood. Physically is difficult for him but he is a captain and brings a good environment to the team which will help to face the end of the season”.

“If the rest achieve two good results and feel encouraged, I don’t see why we can’t do it ourselves”

Aguirre doesn’t see many changes in his next rivals: “Espanyol is a similar team either with Rufete or Abelardo. It is difficult to change something within few days unless you make a big revolution or play with a completely different system”.

Finally, Aguirre doesn’t want to analyze anything beyond the next match: “The club has to work thinking about many scenarios and I would perfectly understand the fact that they are thinking about the future. As a coach I should not and do not want to think beyond the next match against Espanyol. If the rest achieve two good results and feel encouraged, I don´t see why we can´t do it ourselves. We will keep trying for sure. We will fight till the end with all our forces”.
