Leganés will visit Eibar looking for their first win at Ipurua in First Division matches.

C.D Leganés will visit S.D Eibar at Ipurua this Thursday (19:30h), a place where the pepineros have not won in First Division. However, the white and blues have already won there when both teams were playing in Second Division.

This will be the fifteenth time Leganés visits Eibar for an official match. Pepineros and armeros have faced each other for eleven consecutive seasons in the silver category between 1992 and 2004, the total balance of results is balanced: a win for Eibar, eight draws and two wins for Leganés.

Victories on the 2000/01 and 2002/03 seasons in Second Division

Leganés won in the 2000/01 season (0-1 with a penalty kick goal scored by Patxi Puñal) and in 2002/03 (also 0-1 with a goal scored by Pablo Villa).

Both teams stopped to face each other after Leganés’ relegation in 2004 until the pepineros’ promotion to first division in 2016. The kwhite and blues have visitied Ipurua in the last three seasons without getting any points in any of them: losing 2-0 in the 2016/17 and 1-0 in each of the matches of the last two seasons.

The final total balance taking in account all matches played at both stadiums is of nine wins for each team and eleven draws.
