Mehdi Nafti: "The final score was too harsh. We congratulate our opponent and now we analyse where we failed today"

C.D. Leganés manager, Mehdi Nafti, stopped by the press room following the Pepineros' fixure this Monday at the Montilivi against Girona F.C., ending in 3-0 defeat for the Madrileños.

The coach believes that the result does not reflect the performance on the pitch: "The final score was too harsh. We congratulate our opponent and now we analyse where we failed today. The work continues to prepare for Ponferradina. I'm going to stick with the boys I brought in who were a breath of fresh air, it wasn't the best day to put in the youngsters, but I know I can count on them. The result was determined by a lot of things, but I'll go with my part, I won't get into the rest because there's no point. We weren't efficient in either box, where we had been improving, so we have to see how the goals come, take a bottle-half-full view and keep working".

When asked about Randjelović's effort that would have equalised just before the half time whistle, Nafti responded that "there have been points... it's best I stop. Like I said, I'll stick to my side. If I start speaking, after a 3-0, people might think I'm moaning and looking for excuses. We're going to analyse what happened and where we can improve. Obviously, there are things which you cannot change", he concluded.
