Preview: C.D. Leganés close out a week of three games against C.D. Tenerife

C.D. Leganés play their 12th game of the LaLiga SmartBank season this Saturday (21:00 CEST) against C.D. Tenerife in the Estadio Municipal Butarque. The pepineros hope to finish off their three-game week with a win over a tight Tenerife team with play-off ambitions.

A hard week of football is finally done here at Leganés, starting off with the match against Real Valldolid last Sunday and then the Wednesday derby against A.D. Alcorcón and Saturday's match against Tenerife: an important battle for the pepineros in their aim of ascending out of the relegation zone and improving their prospects for the season.

Once again the squad is beset with numerous absences. It is another issue Garitano will have to contend with as Bustinza, Omeruo, Quintillà, Doukouré, Avilés, Sabin Merino and Bautista all recover from injury.

C.D. Tenerife hoping for a win to propel their play-off designs

C.D. Tenerife come to the Butarque with two consecutive defeats on their record, having been knocked from the top six, and will have their urgent return to make winning a necessity. They lost out to U.D. Las Palmas (2-1) amd S.D. Eibar (0-1) in their last two encounters.

Luis Miguel Ramis does, on the other hand, have three away wins this season to support his chances (1-2 in Fuenlabrada, 0-2 in Valladolid y 1-2 in Huesca), totalling 10 of their 16 points on the road. Their absentees include Míchel and Mollejo and an injured Enric Gallego.

The match will be officiated by the castellano-leonés referee, Sr. D. Óliver de la Fuente Ramos.
