Preview: C.D. Leganés to return to winning ways against C.D. Castellón

C.D. Leganés receives C.D. Castellón this Saturday (18:15) at the Estadio Municipal Butarque, in a match corresponding to the twenty-eighth round of LaLiga SmartBank. The pepineros want to win again at home against a rival with high morale after their last victory.

Leganés return to Butarque, where they have cemented a good part of the good results achieved during the season with twelve victories in fourteen matches, to try to return to the path of victories. The Blue and Whites completed a great month of February, with five victories only truncated by last week's defeat in Cartagena (1-0) and now they want to start another series of positive results.

The Pepineros, fourth, four points behind the direct promotion places and eight ahead of the seventh-placed team, will be without Nigerian center-back Kenneth Omeruo, who has been suspended for one match for accumulation of yellow cards. A match that brings back fond memories for the most loyal Pepineros fans due to the goal scored by goalkeeper Mario Soria against Castellón twenty-seven years ago.

C.D. Castellón, back to winning ways to get out of the bottom of the table

For its part, C.D. Castellón faces the match full of morale after its last victory, including a 4-0 thrashing, last weekend against U.D. Las Palmas (4-0). The Albinegros completed a great match with which they closed a bad streak of four consecutive defeats that had put them in the relegation zone.
A win at Butarque would take them momentarily out of the relegation zone, although to do so, the Castellonenses would have to win away from home, something they have not achieved since the first day of the league. The Albinegre coach, Juan Carlos Garrido, will experience his seventh match in the Castalia's dugout, with a balance so far of two wins and four defeats.

The match will be refereed by the canarian referee  Mr. Juan Luis Pulido Santana.
