C.D Leganés’ forward Sabin Merino scored his first goal as a pepinero last Sunday at Anxo Carro Stadium. The forward made his scoring debut with the white and blue jersey. Unfortunately, his goal was not enough for the team to get some points.
It was the middle of the first half when Sabin received an air pass from Gaku Shibasaki behind Lugo’s defense line. He controlled the ball and kicked it with his left foot to beat Cantero. The goal had some suspense since it needed to be verified with the VAR. This goal allowed the pepineros to take the temporary lead of the game.
Unfortunately, the goal was not enough for the team to get some points but was the first goal for Sabin Merino on his twentieth official appearance as a pepinero (nineth as a starter) with C.D Leganés.
