C.D. Leganés will receive this monday (21:00 hours) to Fuenlabrada in a derbi that will be celebrated for the second time in history at LaLiga SmartBank. Pepineros and Fuenlabreños have faced each other in 4 different competitions, seeing each other in the Second ‘B’, Third División and Copa del Rey.
Butarque will host the derbi that was played for the first time on an official match 1986/87, when Leganés and Fuenlabrada played in the third division in a duel that was a pepinero victory at Luis Rodríguez de Miguel (4-1). In the nineties, the fuenlabreños visited us again in the play-off of La Copa del Rey on the campaign 1991/92, with a triumph for the pepineros at the return leg (2-1).
When Leganes move to Butarque, the team will coincide with Fuenlabrada, six consecutive seasons in Second Division ‘B’. The blue and white team will impose on the derbis of the seasons 2004/05 (1-0) and 2007/08 (3-1). The last course, both teams met themselves for the first time on LaLiga SmartBank in a clash that Fuenla took the three points for a result of (0-2).
