C.D. Leganés drew against C.D. Castellón (0-0) at the Estadio Municipal Butarque, in a match of the twenty-eighth round of LaLiga SmartBank. The pepineros earned a point after an even match with no great chances for either team.
Asier Garitano made four changes from the last match in Cartagena: Tarín, Sergio González, Luis Perea and Miguel replaced Omeruo, Ignasi Miquel, Shibasaki and Sabin Merino. The match started evenly, with both teams trying to press in the opponent's half.

The first chance for C.D. Leganés came in the 10th minute with a shot by Arnaiz that didn't find the net. In the 14th minute, it was Róber Ibáñez who had a good chance, but he couldn't find the target in front of Whalley.
Nearing the half-hour mark, Miguel de la Fuente was about to get one-on-one, but his last control escaped and he failed to score. Castellón managed to stifle Leganés' creative line, and thus, with the initial 0-0 score, they reached halftime.
The tie was not broken in a tight second half.
After the restart, Asier Garitano brought on Sabin Merino and Borja Bastón in place of Eraso and Miguel to give a new look to the attack. In minute 50, Róber Ibáñez failed to direct his header from Borja Bastón's right-wing cross. Just before the hour mark, Avilés came on as the third substitute in place of Arnaiz. Tarín, in the 65th minute, was on the verge of scoring from a lateral free kick.
Midway through the second half, Rubén Pérez replaced Rubén Pardo in midfield. The Pepineros kept trying to open up the visitors' defense, but the Albinegros were serious and orderly and did not allow any space. Róber tried from the left, but could not find a way to get through clearly. In the final stretch, Brandon replaced Róber himself, while the visitors had their clearest chance in stoppage time, with a shot close to the post that Cuéllar deflected.
With the final draw, C.D. Leganés has 50 points and their next match will be on Sunday 14 (20:30) against Real Oviedo.
