As if it was today… five years ago Leganés tied against Numancia at Butarque (0-0) to continue its way to promotion play-off positions after reaching 40 points on Segunda Division League.

The pepineros had won against Betis at Benito Villamarín. Asier Garitano was sent off on the last match and was time for Jaime Pérez to lead the team from the bench that day at Butarque. Leganés initial squad was: Serantes, Marc Bertrán, Postigo, Mantovani, Santamaría, Erik Morán, Eraso, Sergio Prendes, Álvaro García, Aguirre and Chuli. Eizmendi played from half-time while Alberto Martín and Borja Lázaro got their chances to play during second half.

Diego Aguirre had the best occasions for the locals. Serrantes was also relevant on the match after saving two Numancia’s occasions from Julio Álvarez and Juanma. At the end it was a tie at Butarque that allowed the pepineros to sum up a point.
