Asier Garitano: "There's little to separate the teams, I'm not at all dissatisfied but we need to do more to improve"

C.D. Leganés manager, Asier Garitano, appeared in a press conference after the game this Sunday against C.D. Lugo (1-1) in the eighth match of the LaLiga SmartBank season.

"We looked fresher in the first half and we had the game under control, there was the sense that we would go ahead but it wasn't easy and we had to be patient. In the second half we did get ourselves in front but the equaliser followed right after, it cost us and we didn't get things straight".

"We haven't lost for the third week straight but it goes to show how hard it is to get out from under"

Asier Garitano stressed that "its a complicated division for every team, but that's no excuse. There's little to separate the teams and it takes a lot to come out in front each fixture when your opponents work hard to make it difficult for you each weekend. That said, today wasn't necessarily a surprise".

For the pepinero coach: "we haven't lost for the third week straight but it goes to show how hard it is to get out from under. This last month the team has played well though. I'm not at all dissatisfied with their performance but we need to do more to improve". Garitano also went on to underline the role the fans played in encouraging the team "to reach their goals".
