Bautista, Bruno and Randjelovic get their first appearances for C.D. Leganés

The three players took their first steps on the pitch as Leganés players this Saturday against S.D. Eibar, while familiar face Rubén Pardo made his first appearance under pepinero ownership.

Jon Bautista, named in the starting lineup, could not have had a better start to life at Leganés with his first goal for the pepineros. Midway through the first half, the striker on loan from Real Sociedad took advantage of a corner kick from Rubén Pardo to head the visitors into the lead after Eibar's keeper could not keep the ball from bouncing in off the bar and off himself.

The number '24' played 72 minutes but left Ipurua with a bittersweet taste: "We needed to get the three points, we tried, but Eibar will be finishing high at the end of the year and we'll have to assess things later on. We wanted the win but we'll keep working to get it in the next game. It hasn't been the team's best start, we're in a period of adaptation but LaLiga doesn't wait, little by little we'll get better and I'm sure the results will follow".

Bruno played the whole 90 minutes and Randjelovic substituted on

Bruno González also started for the pepineros and competed in the entire match. The Tenerife defender, a deadline day signing, held the middle of the back line alongside Rodrigo Tarín and demonstrated his defensive capabilities and tight positioning.

Lastly, Lazar Randjelovic made his debut in Spain in the last 20 minutes of the game. The winger on loan from Olympiacos was substituted on in the 72' for the goalscorer Jon Bautista and played down the right in his first Leganés appearance.

Though not a debut, Rubén Pardo also clocked his first minutes of his new stage at the club. The centre midfielder, now owned by the club since his departure from Bordeaux, was on the pitch for the first hour and added his first assist from a corner to service Jon Bautista's opener.
