C.D. Leganés and LaLiga visit the community of Gawad Kalinga

C.D. Leganés, altogether with Rodrigo Tarín and LaLiga, visited the Gawad Kalinga community during the visit to the Philippines.

Taking advantage of C.D. Leganés’ trip to the Philippines to record the 2019/20 season ticket campaign, the cucumber club altogether with Rodrigo Tarín and LaLiga decided to carry out some social responsibility actions, such as visiting and making visible to the world the Gawad Kalinga community. It is a community where 271 families reside with the risk of eviction and with very limited resources. There, Rodrigo Tarín was able to visit the houses, as well as chat with the children and give them gifts from C.D. Leganés such as scarves, pens, key rings and five LaLiga balls for them to continue playing football.

"It is fortunate to be able to live this experience," said Rodrigo Tarín. "To know their traditions, their culture, and to come from the other side of the world and for them to open the doors of their house, is admirable," said the cucumber footballer.

Precisely, before the visit, the children of the community played a little match with Rodrigo Tarín. As soon as arriving in the province of Iloilo on Tuesday, May 21st, C.D. Leganés visited a humble soccer field where some of the children of the community were playing. There, the children were able to enjoy a nice experience with a First Division soccer player and vice versa.
