C.D. Leganés and Mauricio Pellegrino extend their contract until 2021

C.D. Leganés and its head coach, Manuel Pellegrino, reached an agreement for the Argentinian coach’s contract renewal for the next two seasons, until June 30th 2021. Therefore, the Cucumber club and the South American coach will maintain the same path after a historic first season where the team has achieved its highest amount of points and their best position in First Division.

Mauricio Pellegrino, 47 years old, arrived last summer to Leganés after having managed Valencia, Estudiantes de la Plata, Independiente, Alaves and Southampton. During his first season as Cucumber coach, he prevented the team from relegation two matchdays before the end of the league and helped the club to continue writing its history by reaching the team’s best position in the league and the highest quantity of points.

Therefore, Pellegrino and C.D. Leganés will continue with the Cucumber project in LaLiga Santander, and the Argentinian coach will be who manages the team during its fourth season in First Division.

On friday at 13:00h a press conference will be held in the Instalación Deportiva Butarque with the sporting director Txema Indias and Mauricio Pellegrino.
