C.D. Leganés 'B' split the points with la S.D. Compostela (1-1) on the fourth matchday for Group 1 of the Segunda RFEF. The visitors went in front first in the 8' minute before Iker levelled the score in the 85' for the pepineros despite playing with ten men.
Carlos Martínez opened against the Galicians with the same starting XI as the previous three fixtures. Yet the game very quickly became an uphill struggle for the pepineros after Primo's goal in the 8' from a cross on the right was eventually tucked away.
El Compostela in the driver's seat with a goal after eight minutes
Despite the early goal for the visitors, the reserve team came into their own as the game developed. Their improvement was nearly rewarded in the 16' when the ball fell to Diego García, but his header was directed wide. With 15 minutes to go until the break, Diego García was frustrated once again when his shot inside the six yard box was blocked by the Galician defense.
After the half time break, Martinez's men pushed even harder to equalise. Again penetrating the six yard box, Rentero was also unable to get Leganés on an equal footing when his shot scraped the bar on its way over, but the chances would keep coming. Soon after in the 72', Mario Rivas dribbled his way towards the net but the attack was smothered by the keeper. Samed's header off a corner ball minutes after meant Leganés were maintaining the pressure, but after his double booking in the 77' the visitors gained the man advantage.
Iker levels in the 85' with only ten men
Under pressure from their numerical disadvantage, Martínez's team still searched for an equaliser and struck gold in the 85' after Javi Rubio provided an excellent delivery from the right wing for Iker. His first goal for the affilitate team could not have come at a better time for C.D. Leganés 'B' who gained a point to stay in 4th with seven points so far this season.
Their next league fixture will be played on Sunday 3rd October at 12:00 CEST against C.D. Móstoles URJC at El Soto.
