C.D. Leganés ‘B’ share points with C.D. Móstoles (3-3)

In their fifth league fixture, the second team settled for a point at the Soto despite going ahead twice during the match.

A game whose scrappy opening perhaps foreshadowed the highly contested scoreline, the first few minutes belonged to the locals, who pinned back the blanquiazules through their set-piece deliveries. But C.D. Leganés were composed on the back foot and gradually gained ground as the first half wore on.

Indeed, Tejero's excursion from the mouth of goal left a tight, but sufficient opening for Álex to set the example as pepinero captain to send the visitors in the lead in what was his first goal of the season 17 minutes into the game.

C.D. Móstoles continued their salvo of set-pieces successfully but with C.D. Leganés focused on waiting to exploit the gaps in the home side, in the 28' Mario Rivas put the second away after a splendid assist from out right thanks to Aymane Mourid.

Just before the end of the first half, Móstoles cut the deficit with a convincing header from Álvaro Sánchez that Victores was powerless to stop.

Flying out of the gates in the second half, the home side's desire to level the game was plain to see. Though they scored in the 51', the goal was ruled out by the officials upon review. In the 72', Móstoles reworked their heading system for the first goal to claw the scoreline back, again thanks to the aerial ability of Álvaro Sánchez.

But Carlos Martínez's squad was quick to react and pulled in front again only a minute later through Mario Rivas, who completed a brace with a sharp finish in the six-yard box.

Just as all seemed lost for the hosts, Álvaro Sánchez struck again in the final minute to salvage a point for C.D. Móstoles.

The result marked the second consecutive draw for the pepinero affiliate team, leaving them in fourth with 8 points so far this season. Their next fixture will be played on Saturday 9th Ootber at the I.D. Butarque against C.D. Palencia Cristo Atlético (16:30 CEST).
