C.D. Leganés ‘B’ split points in Butarque fixture against Unión Adarve (1-1)

The Pepinero reserve side held league leaders Unión Adarve to a draw (1-1) in their 13th Segunda RFEF game in Group 1. Cissé was the first to score in the 69' after a deadly shot from outside the area though Montejo was quick to recover and level the score in the 74'.

An even first half, neither side was able to create a clear cut chance on the opposition goal in the opening 45 minutes of the Butarque fixture.

It was only after the break that the Pepinero squad developed their attacking football, completing more approaches in the final third. Then, in the 69', Cissé netted the first goal of the game with a fantastic effort from outside the box after the ball was played from a corner. Yet barely five minutes passed before Carlos Martínez's men relinquished their lead, with Unión Adarve securing an equaliser thanks to Montejo.

The last opportunity for the Blanquiazul side fell to Rentero, whose shot was suppressed by the visiting goalkeeper. The points were shared by both teams as the final whistle blew in the Butarque, leaving the affiliate side in 8th with 19 points, only two away from the coveted play-off positions.

Their next league fixture will be on the road against C.D.A. Navalcarnero.
