C.D. Leganés 'B' undone by Bergantiños F.C. (1-2)

The pepinero second team could not match Bergantiños F.C. (1-2) in their seventh league game of the Group 1 of the Segunda RFEF. An even-sided clash at the I.D. Butarque ended in Bergantiños favour after everything, consigning the pepineros to defeat despite Alex's goal for the locals.

Carlos Martínez's men were not without their chances going forward against the Galician squad. In the 21', Alex began testing the keeper with a shot from the flank, but the visitors were able to secure the lead after the first half by working the ball into the 6 yard box from the left wing. Five minutes later, Rentero leapt to head the ball towards goal by the keeper's athletic dive denied the blanquiazules from levelling.

It was in the second half that Álex would equalise for the home side after capitalising on Borona's individual effort to move the ball down the pitch. In the 66' after a stoppage, Bergantiños went ahead once again. Martínez and his players are still waiting for a victory on home ground after 8 points in 7 so far. They next face C.D. Arenteiro on Saturday 23rd October.
