C.D Leganés signs Swiss Kevin Bua to strengthen its midfield

C.D Leganés has signed the 27-year-old Swiss Kevin Bua for the 2020/21 season. The player comes from F.C Basilea where he has played the last four seasons and signs for a year with an option of two more if the team gets promoted to LaLiga Santander.

Right-footed midfielder with great vision. Attacks from the left wing to the right are one of his trademarks. Born in Geneva with Spanish roots made his debut in 2013/14 when playing for Servette F.C. He signed for F.C Zürich in 2015 where he completed a great season becoming cup champion.

Champions League and Europa League experience.

He joined F.C Basel the next year and stayed there for four more. He won the league and the Swiss cup in his first season and later increased his importance on the team and thus made his debut in Champions League. He helped again to win the Cup title in the 2018/19 season with six goals and thirteen assists.

Bua played 30 games with F.C Basel, scored ten goals and made eight assists on all the competitions including UEFA Europa League in which he scored three goals and reached the quarter finals.

Bua has also played with the Swiss U-20 National Team and join José Luis Martí’s team immediately. He will be officially presented next week.
