C.D Leganés strengthen its defense with Javier Hernández

C.D Leganés has come to an agreement with Real Madrid C.D for the transfer of 22-year-old defender Javier Hernández Carrera for the next four seasons. The central defender who can play as left-wing defender strengthens the pepineros’ defensive line.

He was born in Jerez de la Frontera and was formed in Sevilla F.C academy before becoming part of Real Madrid C.F youth teams in cadete category. He made his debut in 2018/17 UEFA Youth League and made his Segunda División 'B' debut the next year after being loaned to C.D El Ejido 2012.

Experience in LaLiga SmartBank and part of Real Madrid’s first team

He played on loan at Real Oviedo in 2018 where he made his LaLiga SmartBank debut and was an important part of the team playing 26 matches and scoring one goal against C.D Numancia at Los Pajaritos. He played 24 games in the 2019/20 season with Real Madrid Castilla and scored two goals for them. He started to be part of the blancos’ first team after lockdown.

He was called by the first team for eight LaLiga matches where he got to be part of the champion squad. He was also part of the squad that faced against Manchester City. The player had already joined the training sessions after approving the medical exams.
