C.D. Leganés wins at Anduva and climbs to third place (0-0)

C.D. Leganés earned a point in their visit to C.D. Mirandés (0-0). The pepineros were solid and had two clear chances to take the match, but the home goalkeeper thwarted them on both occasions. With the draw, the Blue and Whites move up to third place with two games to go.

Sabin Merino had the clearest chance in the first half.

Asier Garitano started with the same team that beat U.D. Logroñés on Sunday, with the only change being Eraso in place of Miguel de la Fuente. The home team came out strong, trying to get to the Pepinera area quickly. Juan Muñoz had the first shot for Leganés, while Sergio González tried from a set piece.
The first half was even and with both defenses imposing themselves on the attacks. Cristo, in minute 26, tried for the locals, and Juan Muñoz, with a direct free kick that went high, responded for the pepineros. In 36', Sabin Merino had the best chance so far for Leganés: a counterattack with a killer pass from Avilés to the '9', whose shot was saved with his legs by Raúl Lizoain. With the 0-0 score at halftime.

Róber Ibáñez, in 86', had the best chance of the second half, but he met Lizoain again.

The second half started with a setback for Leganés, as Shibasaki had to retire in minute 48 with muscular problems, replacing him with Rubén Pardo. After the hour mark, it was Róber Ibáñez and Kevin Bua who refreshed the flanks, replacing Avilés and Juan Muñoz.
It was difficult for both teams to reach the vicinity of the opponent's area, unable to overcome the strong pressure of both teams. Leganés tried set pieces with some dangerous actions that came close to Lizoain's goal, and Róber Ibáñez had the best chance of the second half in 86' with a left-footed shot that the local goalkeeper saved with a great intervention.
Miguel and Luis Perea came on for Eraso and Sabin Merino in the final stretch, but the score remained unchanged and, with the point, Leganés climbed to third place with 67 points. Their next match will be on Monday (21:00) against Málaga C.F. at Butarque.
