Five C.D. Leganés players called up by their national teams

Five players of the first team leave with their national team for the dispute of international matches this September. Siovas, Braithwaite, Awaziem, En-Nesyri and Oscar have been called up by Greece, Denmark, Nigeria, Morocco U23 and Spain U21, respectively.

Defender Dimitrios Siovas has been called up once again by the Greek national team, becoming a regular in the citations of the Greek side during last year. Greece will play two qualifying matches for Euro 2020, on Thursday, September 5th at 8:45 p.m. in Finland, and on Sunday, September 8th at 8:45 p.m. at home against Liechtenstein.

Striker Martin Braithwaite remains a regular in the call ups for Denmark, who will also face two qualifying matches for the next EuroCup. The Danish will be measured in Gibraltar on Thursday, September 5th at 8:45 p.m., and then play in Georgia on Sunday, September 8th at 6 p.m.

Central defender Chidozie Awaziem has been called up by Nigeria in the first call after the African Cup, where they achieved a bronze medal with the cucumber as a regular in the lineups. On this occasion, the Green Eagles will play a friendly match in Ukraine on Tuesday, September 10th at 7:30 p.m.

Forward Youssef En-Nesyri will play, on this occasion, with the U-23 Maroquin team in a double matchday against Mali on September 7th and on the 10th, qualifiers for the African Cup of the category that will give ticket to the Olympic Games in Tokyo, taking advantage that the national team plays friendly matches on this FIFA matchday. This call up will also be attended by the academy player Aymane Mourid.

Finally, midfielder Oscar Rodriguez has been called up for the first time with the Spanish U21 team, recent European champion. Luis de la Fuente’s squad begin the qualification phase for a new European Championship on Friday, September 6th at 3:00 p.m. against Kazakhstan in Astana, while they will receive Montenegro on Tuesday, September 10th at 7:45 p.m. in Castellón.

It should be noted that two other players of C.D. Leganés that are always called up with their national squad as defenders Roberto Rosales and Kenneth Omeruo have not been called up on this occasion by Venezuela and Nigeria to play both friendly matches. Both players will continue training under the orders of Mauricio Pellegrino.
