Gaku, Bárcenas and Omeruo called up for national duty

Gaku Shibasaki, Yoel Bárcenas and Kenneth Omeruo will join the national squads on Monday to play in the next round of Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers, confirming their absence from the next league match this Sunday 21:00 CEST away to C.F. Fuenlabrada.

Shibasaki will play two matches with Japan in the Asia qualifiers for the tournament next summer. Japan travel to Yeda to face Saudi Arabia on Thursday 7th at 18:00 CEST before they return to Saitama as they play home to Australia on Tuesday 12th at 12:14 CEST.

Three games for Bárcenas and Panama, two each for Japan and Nigeria

For Yoel Barcenás, Panama's road to Qatar is a little longer as they play three games during the break for the CONCACAF qualifying group: they will visit El Salvador in the early hours of Friday 8th at 04:05 CEST, then they host the United States in as the date changes to Monday 11th 00:00 CEST before finally visiting Canada in Toronto early Thursday morning 01:30 CEST.

Lastly, Omeruo will play two World Cup qualifiers for Nigeria, both against Central African Republic: the first in Lagos on Thursday 7th at 18:00 CEST and the second on Sunday 10th at 15:00 CEST in Bangui.
