Javi Hernández scored the 600th goal in the history of C.D. Leganés in the Second Division.

C.D. Leganés player Javi Hernández was in charge of scoring, last Sunday against C.D. Tenerife, the 600th goal in the club's history in the Second Division. A goal that also helped the pepineros achieve their fifth consecutive victory, setting a new record in their history in the silver category.

Leganés now has 600 goals in LaLiga SmartBank, a figure reached in 556 matches in the fourteen seasons they have played in the category. Javi Hernández joins the list of illustrious strikers who scored goals for the pepineros in the silver category. Antonio was in charge of scoring the first Pepinero goal in the second division, on September 5, 1993 against Villarreal. Two years later, on October 8, 1995, Miguel Melgar scored his 100th goal in a 2-1 win against Bilbao Athletic.

Melgar, Catanha, Puñal, Lambea and Prendes, the other centenary goal scorers

It was not until February 1, 1998 that the 200th goal was scored by Henrique Guedes, "Catanha", in a match against Ourense. On September 17, 2000, the 300th goal was scored by Patxi Puñal in a victory against Real Murcia in Butarque.
The 400th goal was scored by full-back Jon Ander Lambea in a 5-2 win against Almería on January 19, 2003, while the 500th goal was scored by Sergio Prendes on May 9, 2015 against U.D. Las Palmas. The 600th goal already bears Javi Hernández's name in the history of the Pepineros.
