Mehdi Nafti: "We dealt well, the team has faith and we're on the right track"

C.D. Leganés manager, Mehdi Nafti, spoke in a press conference after the conclusion of the Pepineros' 17th league game of the season, against Real Zaragoza at La Romareda, which ended in a Blanquiazul victory (0-2).

The coach expressed his satisfaction with the outcome and admitted there was a big change of plans following Fede Vico's injury: "When you win it's because the plan worked well, but we had to change ours once Fede Vico picked up an injury. We had planned to control possession more with an extra player in the middle, but after that had to change and we got lucky Lazar was able to see it home to make it 0-1. We endured today, we didn't concede anything against our opponents, but it's not possible to come and play here without some grief. That's why the players deserve the win even more so today".

Nafti believes the team continues to develop and improve: "I don't believe we were superior on the pitch, but we managed the game very well. The team dealt well, leaving possession more to the opponents but adapting to play off the ball. Right now, the only reflection of Leganés is how we're playing. It's not time to break out the fireworks, all we've done is grow from working and working. It's been four matches together and it's bigger and better every time; the team has faith and we're on the right track, but there are a lot of opponents ahead of us".
