Preview: C.D. Leganés aim for win over U.D. Ibiza

C.D. Leganés will host their third LaLiga SmartBank game against U.D. Ibiza this Saturday at 19:30 at the Butarque. The pepineros are looking to win in front of their fans in their second consecutive home game.

The blanquiazules began their home account with a draw last Monday against Burgos C.F. and will now be aiming to climb further up the table with their first win over the Balearic side. Central to their approach will be the support of their home crowd as the team returns to the Butarque, with around 5,000 expected to be in attendance to cheer on the pepineros as they commence their campaign.

On the tactical front, Asier Garitano will be able to count on his entire squad, barring any last-minute setbacks. As the coach confirmed in the pre-match press conference, for the first time since the start of the pre-season, he was able to include all his players in Thursday's training session, including Javier Avilés and Borja Garcés, now recovered from their injuries. The latest addition to the squad, striker Jon Bautista from Real Sociedad, could also make the list.

U.D. Ibiza search for their first victory in LaLiga SmartBank

Similarly, U.D. Ibiza arrive at the Butarque looking for their first win of a debut season in the second division. The Ibizans secured two points from their first two encounters, first drawing away 0-0 against Real Zaragoza and then at home 2-2 against Málaga C.F.

The side arrives in Leganés with two familiar faces, the striker Miguel Ángel Guerrero and the coach Juan Carlos Carcedo, who was at the club for 2 seasons during his career as a player.

The match will be officiated by the Andalucian referee, Mr. D. Alejandro Quintero González.
