Preview: C.D. Leganés Senior Women's seeks to win to stay in the top positions

Great match this Saturday (19:15 pm) at the Annex Jesus Polo. The Senior is measured against a direct rival, the A.D. Colmenar Viejo, in a new day of league. Jero Martos' team has to win if they do not want to slip from the top positions. The visiting team arrives to the match with full of victories: six wins in six games.

Surely if we asked the Senior players if they would sign at the beginning of the season to be in the position they are right now, everyone would have signed with their eyes closed. And this season, after the promotion, the goal was to stay in the team, as Jero Martos himself said at the beginning of the season: "to stay, and next year to fight for the promotion places", he emphasized.
Well, that time has come, to see how far this team is capable of going. The time has come to see if, with permanence virtually achieved, the team can go (much) further. At the moment they are going at a good pace, but this Saturday they have a test of fire against one of their direct and most complicated rivals of the championship, A.D. Colmenar Viejo, which counts all its matches by victories.
Our team arrives to the duel in fifth position after eight games played and 16 points in their locker. The pepineras are the fourth highest scoring team, with 20 goals. Six of those goals have been scored by Patri, the team's top scorer. This Saturday, and after their defeat last matchday against Olímpico de Madrid, they have to win in order not to lose the trail of the first classified teams.

"We will go out to give everything on the field for this shield".

The pepinero coach, Jero Martos, warns that the duel against Colmenar Viejo will not be easy, and is that "the rival is a very serious team, which commits few mistakes and gives few opportunities to rivals". However, the idea of the pepinero team is clear, and they will not give up their game and their team spirit: "We will go out to give everything on the field, for the shield and fight for the three points with our weapons, which are the ball and teamwork". The coach does not want to look beyond Saturday's game: "We have to go game by game and show the great work this team has been doing since the beginning of the season", he said.

Colmenar Viejo: six games, six wins

The visiting team arrives to the duel in third position with a full house of victories (18 points). Colmenar Viejo have not dropped a single point this season and are the third highest scorers with 25 goals and one of the lowest scoring teams: they have conceded just one goal.
In the previous match they beat one of their direct rivals, (also Senior), C.F. Fuenlabrada by 2-0 and now they will look for a new victory and continue with their good dynamic.
