Queco Piña will remain on the C.D. Leganés coaching staff for one more season.

C.D. Leganés will continue to count on Sergio "Queco" Piña Cousillas as goalkeeping coach of the first team in the 2021/22 season. The player from La Coruña, who has been the goalkeeping coach of the first team since last January, extends his contract for one more season.

Queco Piña was goalkeeper of C.D. Leganés for two and a half seasons between 2014 and 2016, being a member of the squads that achieved two promotions from Segunda 'B' to First Division with the team coached by Asier Garitano. He had previously played for R.C. Celta 'B', C.D. Ourense, Racing de Ferrol, Alicante C.F., S.D. Ponferradina and Orihuela C.F., and would also play for S.D. Huesca after his departure from Leganés.

Continuity in the coaching staff that returned to the club last January.

Queco, 40 years old, played 31 official matches as pepinero: twelve in his first season, in which he arrived in the winter market and became the starting goalkeeper in the final stretch of the course and in the promotion play-off; fifteen in 2014/15, already in Second Division; and four in 2015/16, in which C.D. Leganés ended up achieving the historic promotion to First Division.

The Galician will continue, in this way, along with the rest of the coaching staff headed by Asier Garitano, all of them with a valid contract, during the 2021/22 season.
