Roger Assalé strenghten C.D Leganes for the second half of the season.

 Roger Claver Djapone Assalé joins C.D Leganes from Young Boys, 26 years old. The African attacker, with experience in European competitions and international tournaments with his team, will wear the pepinero's shirt during the second half of the season.

Assalé is an attacker who can act in bands or as a second tip, fast, electric and with good ball hitting. He began his career in Ivory Coast before signing for the Congolese Mazembe, with which he was proclaimed champion of the African Champions later playing the Club World Cup. From there he made the jump to Europe to sign in January 2017 for the Swiss Young Boys, scoring six goals in his first half season.

In his first full campaign at the Berne club, Assalé signed 21 goals and 14 assists, helping his club to proclaim himself champion of the League and runner-up of the Cup, participating in the previous Champions League and in the Europa League, with four goals in this competition. In 2018/19 he scored ten goals and gave eleven assists, again getting the league and premiering in the group stage of the Champions League, competition in which he premiered as a scorer against Valencia in Mestalla.

This season, Assalé has played 24 games with Young Boys, scoring seven goals and distributing four assists. One of them was in the previous Champions League against the Red Star, and two more in the group stage of the Europa League. Assalé has been twenty times international with Ivory Coast, scoring three goals and being part of the national team in the 2015 and 2019 editions of the African Cup.

Assalé will immediately join Javier Aguirre's orders. He will wear the number 20 and will be presented next week.
