10 men Leganés fights back to get an important win at Vallecas (1-2)

C.D. Leganés got three points in their visit to Vallecas after beating Rayo Vallecano 1-2 thanks to the goals by Martin Braithwaite, in the first half, and En-Nesyri in the final minutes. Álvaro García scored for the locals. The cucumbers held on for 30 minutes with 10-men after Nyom got sent off. 

Dominant Leganés on the first half

Leganés started the match with intensity, trying to get close to Rayo's goal from the first minutes. Recio tried it first in the 4th minute with a long range shot, forcing a save by Dimitrevski. The match was very difficult and the yellow cards starting coming early with two bookings for local defenders.

Lega kept pushing and Braithwaite hit the post after a flick by En-Nesyri. It was the best chance of the match so far until on the 35th Braithwaite headed a corner in to open the score, 0-1 at the break. 

Leganés held on with 10 men

After the break, Michel's men upped their game. On the 58th minute, Leganés went down to 10 men after a red card to Nyom for rough challenge on Embarba. Ruben Perez replaced Vesga, and the mexican defender Diego Reyes got his debut trying to keep the locals at bay. Raúl De Tomas went  close to an equalizer with a header but a superb save by Cuellar kept he cucumbers lead.

Álvaro García equalizes and En-Nesyri finds the winner

Minutes away from the end, on the 83rd, Álvaro García equalized after a clearance inside the box. Despite the goal, the cucumbers didn't give up even though they were a man down, and two minutes later, Youssef En-Nesyri headed in the winner from a corner.

It was the sixth win of the season and second one away from home to jump up on the table up to the 13th position with 26 points.
