C.D. Leganés played its fourth preseason match against Ittihad Tanger, the second in this stage in Tangier after playing against Raja Club Athletic last Wednesday, achieving a victory by two goals to zero.
The cucumber squad dominated in general this fourth friendly of presemproada. A match where new Marc Navarro and Braithwaite started after arriving last Wednesday. Without conceding scoring chances to Ittihad, who barely bothered Juan Soriano, and with a Braithwaite already trying in the first minutes. Leganés continued to pick up the pace of competition at the IBN Batouta, where he accompanied a brief drizzle both at the beginning and at the end of the match.
Eraso opened the scoring before the break
Braithwaite caused the first chances for Lega after 20 minutes, with two runs into the area that ended in a shot to the side of the net after overcoming the goalkeeper, and then with a pass to Sabin Merino, again with the goalkeeper already defeated, cut by the last defender, preventing the shot for a Sabin goal.
Already in the 45', at the end of the first half, a cross by Jonathan Silva was repelled by the goalkeeper. The ball went to Eraso, who, with a beautiful chip, surpassed everyone who swarmed the area to put the 0-1 in the score.
Sabin Merino sentenced with a header
After half time, Sabin Merino increased the distance on the scoreboard. Óscar's cross from the left corner shot by Sabin to the first post and the ball went to the back of the net for the 0-2. It was a second part controlled by the cucumbers, and of game in rival field. The Ittihad tried to surprise with the occasional counterattack, but the well-positioned cucumber defense prevented any attempts by the Morroquians. In one of these, Rodri Tarín collided with a striker, and the referee interpreted that it was enough to see the second yellow card. Lega played with 10 men from the 71st minute. The Ittihad, meanwhile, had also lost Aarab in 63' due to a double yellow.
Rosales also debuted, replacing Marc Navarro in the 64th minute. With him came Gumbau, José Arnaiz and Kravets. The last one left a few minutes after suffering a severe blow to the nose.
Leganés puts an end to this victory, and the goalless draw last Wednesday against Raja Club Athletic, this week of preparation in the city of northern Morocco and Sunday morning, after training at 10:00h, will return to Spain.
