C.D. Leganés exceeds 800,000 followers on social networks and grows exponentially in its digitalization process

C.D. Leganés is in luck. Despite the relegation and the consequent impact on the visibility of the club, the pepinera entity manages not only to maintain, but to grow in number of followers through its digital platforms to reach the figure of 810,664 users.


This is the result of a report by Blinkfire Analytics, an independent company that evaluates the digital impact of sports-related brands, which shows how the Club has added 86,898 new followers since the start of the LaLiga Smartbank competition, while significantly increasing engagement with a total of 1,842,813 interactions and 7,206 publications.


Another significant fact is the growth in the number of followers in each and every one of the Club's social profiles, with Weibo (the Chinese social network), Instagram and TikTok ranking on the podium with the highest growth. The report shows the following distribution of followers among all social networks: Twitter (34.09%), Instagram (32.1%), Weibo (14.11%), Facebook (13.36%), TikTok (4.96%) and YouTube (1.38%).

It is worth noting the creation of the @CDLeganésFemenino profile on Twitter, to offer a better and more specialized information service in this regard, in addition to the @CDLeganés_jp and @MrSuperPepino accounts with specific content for Japanese fans. More entertainment content and live broadcasts

These results respond to a strategic planning that continues its course to offer every day a good communication service, entertainment and closeness with the fans of C.D. Leganés, aware of the great margin for improvement.

Among the new contents that have enriched the club's channels are the 'Minijuegos' and '8 Segundos Challenge' challenges carried out by the footballers, the match day Insides, the 'Monólegas' in collaboration with La Chocita del Loro and post-match interviews, in addition to player presentations and live press conferences, training sessions, Christmas campaigns and other promotions.
In addition to all this, for the first time in the Club, live broadcasting of the matches of both C.D. Leganés B and C.D. Leganés Fútbol Sala male and female through the YouTube platform, being this a project in which the entity is working to improve and offer live broadcasting of more teams of the entity in the future.

New App, new subscriber portal and improved newsletter service

C.D. Leganés is taking important steps in the digitalization of the Club and has recently presented the new subscriber portal, where the faithful pepineros can consult and modify their personal data. Soon it will offer the possibility of the digital season ticket to carry out all the formalities without having to go to the stadium offices.


Season ticket holders can access this portal through the official website or through the Club's new App. This application improves its features and allows users to be updated with a single 'click' of everything that revolves around the team. In the near future, the App will be enriched with new games and widgets that will help to improve the fans' experience and will correct the incidents detected so far.

Finally, and also in the same line of feeling close to the team and being as updated as possible, the Club is improving the tool used last season to contact its fans via e-mail, offering more frequent and relevant mailings with exclusive discounts, promotions, raffles, last minute information, match previews and other relevant messages.
